11 Mar Day 2 Berlin
The Sound of Music
What an interesting way to busk - U entertain a group of captive audience w your own choice of music; the audience enjoys (or not) the music and hav a choice to show their appreciation in form of euro coins.
I was in the S-bahn. Suddenly, there was the melodious strumming of the guitar accompanied by rhythmic ringing of little bells in the train. A duo just took out their instruments and played a piece after the train left the station.
In contrast to the jovial tune, there was a nonchalent atmosphere in e train. The locals had no change in expressions when e duo started their performance and no signs of appreciation (or irritation) after the jingle. It was almost as though I was the only one who heard the piece. Well, some did drop a couple of coins in e metal can as they walked around and dished out e can.
Does this happen only in Berlin?
