The city that never sleeps.
The city that never sleeps, esp on weekends.
Warschauer str. That’s the street full of people, even at midnight. Pulsing with groups of people, the moving shadows disappear into mysterious buildings with beautiful graffiti, adding flavour to the dimly lit streets.
You’ve got to know the area to be able to enjoy it. Some of the clubs/bars are housed in a complex, fronted only by a dubious opening or connected by long dark alleys.
We visited one of them*. I was more amazed by the ‘artwork’ around the place than the place itself**. It could definitely provide a beautifully messy backdrop for photo shoots. As darkness sets, you start to see different types of people with a variety of dressing styles, and the night is more colourful than in the day.
The trains run 24 hrs in the weekends. So it is no wonder that Berlin becomes even more alive during the weekends.
This city is electrifying.
*We asked the locals, and that was why we entered the area and found some clubs and bars inside. 7 euros to enter and well, some (or all?) clubs close in the morning at 7am. Its mainly house music, not really the RnB type that sg enjoys (i presume :P).
**It was a long queue. We ended up taking a number of pictures with the graffitti walls!
